Major Champions, California Natives and Former World No. 1 Players Headline International Field
Nearly 20 LPGA Tour Professionals with Southern California Roots Entered Into the Field, Including UCLA, USC and Pepperdine Alums
Elite International Field of 120 Players to Compete for a Share of the $1.8 Million Purse

SOMIS, Calif., Sept. 30, 2022 – Entries are now closed for next week’s LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship, with the tournament boasting an elite international field comprised of major champions, California natives, former World No. 1 players and past champions. In total, players representing more than 27 countries and territories will tee-it-up at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship, taking place Oct. 6-9 at The Saticoy Club in Somis, California.
Multiple major champions and former World No. 1 players Ariya Jutanugarn, Stacy Lewis and So Yeon Ryu lead a field of 17 players who have captured at least one major championship. The field also features eight winners from the 2022 LPGA Tour season, including Atthaya Thitikul, Ayaka Furue, Eun-Hee Ji, Danielle Kang, Andrea Lee, Gaby Lopez, Paula Reto and Maja Stark. Defending champion Matilda Castren and 2019 champion Sei Young Kim are also entered into the championship.
Sixteen players who attended UCLA (seven), USC (seven) and Pepperdine (two) are committed to next week’s championship.
· Players who attended UCLA include: Brianna Do, Bronte Law, Alison Lee, Mo Martin, Ryann O’Toole, Patty Tavatanakit and Lilia Vu.
· Players who attended USC include: Tiffany Chan, Jennifer Chang, Allisen Corpuz, Muni He, Annie Park, Robynn Ree and Jennifer Song.
· Players who attended nearby Pepperdine include: Danielle Kang and Katherine Kirk.
Additional spots for the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship will go to four (4) sponsor exemptions which will be announced next week, along with the two-top-10 finishers at this week’s Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America if not already eligible. The final two spots will be determined on Monday via the Monday Qualifier at The Saticoy Club.
The 2022 LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship will feature a 120-player field competing Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 6-9, for a share of the $1.8 million purse. GOLF Channel will televise all four rounds in primetime. For a complete list of tournament entries, click HERE.
Previously hosted at Lake Merced Country Club from 2018-2021, the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship moves to The Saticoy Club for 2022. This will be the first professional golf tournament staged at The Saticoy Club, a host of numerous USGA championship qualifier tournaments and Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) Amateur Championships.
Ticket packages for the 2022 LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship include exclusive hospitality and general admissions tickets offering a wide degree of entertainment and access. New for 2022 is the Stone Pine Club, a premium hospitality ticket that includes, a hospitality viewing deck overlooking the 9th and 18th green with complimentary food and beverages in the clubhouse. 2022 tickets will be digital and emailed after purchase. Good-Any-One-Day Grounds:
$25. General admission daily grounds. Valid any one day, Thursday-Sunday.
Weekly Grounds:
$40. General admission weekly grounds. Valid all days, Thursday-Sunday.
The Stone Pine Club:
New for 2022. This premium hospitality ticket featuring an open-air deck overlooking the 9th and 18th green. Includes complimentary food and beverages in the clubhouse and access to the Jim Beam Bourbon Backyard and the High Noon Clubhouse.
Daily Stone Pine Club: $275. Valid one day, Thursday-Sunday.
Weekly Stone Pine Club. $1000. Valid all four days, Thursday-Sunday.
All military (active, reserve, retired and veteran), first responders and their immediate family (up to four tickets) will receive complimentary admission to the 2022 LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship by showing proper identification at Admissions in exchange for a daily grounds pass. Children 17-and-under will be admitted free with a ticketed adult.
The Saticoy Club was founded in 1921 as the first private club in Ventura County. The 18-hole course was designed by noted architect William F. Bell and in 2018 was renovated by well-known course architects Robert Muir Graves, Tom Doak and John Harbottle.
